The models in this new series are based on Höfner originals of the ´60s, '70s and ´80s. However, the Contemporary models are no yesterday's collectors' items, but designed for the tough live performance of today's guitarist. All Contemporary semi-acoustic instruments are fitted with a center block for added sustain.
The Höfner Club semi-acoustic guitars were among the favourite instruments of Lennon and Harrison. The 2008 model includes a sustain block for a more modern sound. By virtue of its compact body dimensions it is less susceptible to feedback. Two original Höfner 'Diamond' pick-ups. Nickelplated hardware. Available in antique brown sunburst (SB), transparent-red (R) and black (BK).
