This three pronged triquetra, Latin for three cornered, is a figure formed from three circular arcs of equal radius. It symbolizes the Celtic beliefs that everything has three distinct yet interlocked levels - physical, mental and spiritual. When the Celts embraced Christianity they used this symbol to represent the Trinity (father, son and Holy Spirit). As with many Celtic themes the unbroken circle represents eternity.
